Oh ye Control All Monsters faithful… You must be wondering, “where have you been, Alex? Where are the articles? Why have you slowed down?” and the answer is this. I’ve been hard at work on Dawn of the Monsters, and while there hasn’t been an update in a long time, here’s the mother of all updates!
Dawn of the Monsters is launching early 2022 and we’ve got a brand spanking new trailer to prove it!
While I’ve talked about this game on the site before, keen observers will note some interesting new faces. You can see all four playable characters in action! Previously announced are Megadon the fire breathing kaiju, and Ganira the sea beast. New faces are massive super hero Aegis Prime, and giant robot Tempest Galahad!
The game will have over 35 missions across four major locations spanning from Toronto to Tokyo, and includes a unique “DNA Augment” system where you can customize your monster’s abilities and buff up their stats- adding a layer of strategy and growth the beat em up genre!
We’ve got some incredible talent working on this game, too! We’ve got guest monster designs from Godzilla and Gridman character designer Shinji Nishikawa and famous Godzila and Gamera artist Matt Frank. We’ve got legendary voice talent in the form of AmaLee (Attack on Titan, SSSS.Dynazenon), Cristina Valenzuela (Shantae, RWBY, Godzilla Singular Point), Xander Mobus (Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Monster Hunter Rise), and Patrick Seitz (Redline, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Street Fighter) among others! We also can share this awesome key art by EJ Su (Marvel’s Rise of Ultraman, Godzilla Rivals) and Kim Jacinto (Marvel’s Rise of Ultraman, Shang Chi).
The game is coming to all major platforms including Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S and will support 2-player cooperative play!
